Ellume shines at AFR BOSS’ Most Innovative Companies Awards
We’re excited to announce Ellume was recognised as one of Australia and New Zealand’s Most Innovative Companies in 2019, ranking #2 on the Health and Pharmaceutical list published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine. The prestigious annual list is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by Australia’s leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges. For the first time in 2019, organisations were ranked directly against their peers across ten industry lists.
Ellume ranked #2 on the Health and Pharmaceutical list, from over 800 nominated organisations across Australia and New Zealand. The assessment recognises companies with a top innovation implemented in the past twelve months. Specifically, the judging panel looked at the size of the problem addressed by the company, and the value of the company’s solution in addressing this problem. Other criteria included the quality and uniqueness of the solution, and the level of impact that the innovation has had. Inventium also assesses internal elements such as innovation culture, strategy, resources and process, which demonstrate a sustainable and repeatable approach to innovation.
Ellume is thrilled to be recognised for our innovations in the digital diagnostics space, to provide the most accurate and fastest digital diagnosis in one click.
“Our digital diagnostic products, like the ellume·lab, are a great example of Australian innovation by the team. We were honoured to receive recognition from the Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine. It’s a strong endorsement for our work as we position the company to potentially transition onto the ASX later this year,” said Sean Parsons, managing partner and CEO of Ellume.
Inventium Founder Dr Amantha Imber, manager of the award assessment process said, “We are thrilled to announce the first-ever industry-specific Most Innovative Companies List. What separated the most innovative organisations from the least, was the involvement of the customer the entire way through the innovation process. Leading innovators also had strong mechanisms in place to recognise the innovation efforts of their staff.” Previous overall winners include Xero, Planet Innovation, M&C Saatchi and GroundProbe.
